If you learn one thing about me, it should be this: I have a massive sweet tooth. It is easily my biggest hang-up when I’m trying to lose weight. I mean, if there is candy in our house, which is a definite with a 2-year-old, then I am eating it.
So, when a holiday like Valentine’s Day comes up where almost all the food associated with it is sweet, I’m in trouble. Since I kicked off my healthy eating lifestyle with my cleanse in late November, I’ve learned to reign in my sweet tooth. I made a deal with myself that if I could eliminate sugar from my diet on normal days, I could indulge a little bit on holidays and big events like weddings. I mean, we gotta have a little fun, right?
So, with Valentine’s Day just a couple days away, I’m trying to plan ahead. Although I want to indulge a little, I don’t want to fall completely off my healthy eating plan. So, I’ve turned to pinterest and created a “healthy-ish holiday desserts” board to give myself some choices on what to make for my little family. Y’all, there are actually some really good, healthy recipes!
