Isn’t it fun to see fashion trends resurface? It’s crazy to me to think that the last time flare jeans were “cool” was when I was in middle school. It’s also fun to think back on those trends that you swore you’d never wear again and then with a little bit of time, you find yourself following those very trends you swore off.
Of course there are trends that you should swear off for good – for me that would be jncos. I really should never repeat that “trend” again. And then there are others that come back around and you can’t wait to try them out again such as turtle neck sweaters.
I used to be so self concious when I wore turtle neck sweaters because I have a rounder face, but now I have an all new appreciation for them. While I do try to stick with cowl neck sweaters that fit a little looser, I love turtle necks that are a bit snug, too, because they are great pieces to layer over.
Not only are you able to layer jackets and vests over turtle necks, but you can layer dresses over them, too! I love this because it allows you to extend the life of your sleeveless and short sleeve dresses.
style tip: let the dress do the talking and let your turtle neck play a more neutral role
