fall try-on: free people

free people white sweater dress

sweater dress (size down)

Hi, babes! I hope you’re all starting this week off feeling rested and rejuvenated from the weekend. I got to spend the weekend with some of my good girl friends and came home to some new fall pieces that I am sharing today. Probably the most exciting part about these new items is that I can actually wear them now since Dallas weather finally decided to start acting like fall.

The sweater dress pictured above is one of the pieces I was most excited about getting. I got the ever popular ottoman sweater tunic last year and wore it nonstop. In fact, I’m eyeing the pink one right now. But, I came across the one pictured above last week and loved the chunky knit and the oversized turtleneck. Super cute, right? The great thing about these oversized sweaters is that you can wear them lots of different ways. If you’re short like me, you can pull them off as a dress with over-the-knee boots or layer them over faux leather leggings, or wear it tucked into jeans.

white square neck bodysuit

bodysuit // jeans

Y’all, how cute is this bodysuit? I love the square neckline and think this is one of the more flattering bodysuits. It is a great layering piece for Fall and is super versatile in regards to the amount of ways you can style it. I sized down, but if you have a bigger chest, I would stay true to your size.

free people black maxi dress

dress (size down)

I love a good maxi dress and this one was too good to pass up. It’s all one piece and super soft. The material is thick enough that is sucks you in at the waist and the flowy top part is so comfortable! I also love the side slit that gives a little sex appeal for date night!

white free people top

top (size down) // jeans

This top I saw on someone else and immediately wanted it. I think the puff sleeves are so fun and provide such a fun element to your traditional white top. It’s also a good, semi-thick material so it sucks you in when you wear it. Highly recommend this top! PS – again, if you have a bigger chest, I recommend sticking with your true size.

free people animal print bodysuit

bodysuit (size down) // jeans

I have been loving all the leopard and animal print that is out there right now, and I thought this bodysuit was a fun take on that trend. The tan color is great for fall and the material of this top is so soft. If you’re busy up top, I would stay true to your size instead of sizing down.

free people waffle knit tee

tunic (size down 1 or 2) // shorts (size down)

This tunic was a big favorite last year and it’s not shock it’s back in stock this year. I totally get why because it’s super comfy. This tunic is a bit long, so on one hand it’s a great top to wear with leggings. On the other hand, a lot of you have asked me how to style it with jeans or shorts. Simple – just give it a front tuck! It comes in tons of colors and is worth having one or two as it’s such a good knock-around top.
