Mixing patterns can be so fun, but so can mixing textures. For this year’s Christmas outfit, I wanted to play with fabrics. Midi skirts are a big trend this season and when I found this olive green midi skirt, it was too festive to pass up. I paired this silky blend skirt with an embellished top and neutrals heels for a more feminine, holiday look. In Texas where it’s warmer, I can get away with wearing a short-sleeve top in the winter, but when we head to Chicago, I plan on wearing this skirt with a chunky, white cable-knit sweater.
style tip: 1) wearing a loose, long crop top is a great way to wear a midi skirt if you’re not comfortable tucking in a shirt or wearing a shorter crop top; 2) if you’re on the shorter side (like me), but still want to attempt the midi skirt trend, grab your pair of heels instead of flats to elongate your figure
