Happy Tiny Tuesday! This week begins our summer collaboration with the bloggers of Our Beau Monde as our little girls, Emma Grace (of fleurdille) and Charlee Kate (of ourbeaumonde) take Dallas. Andi (of Our Beau Monde) and I are new moms and have been trying to find fun activities for our new walkers in the Dallas area that don’t break the bank. So, this week marks the first week of our summer adventure with our girls. For our first outing, Andi and I decided to take our girls to NorthPark Mall to escape the Texas heat. NorthPark has so much to offer for little ones (and moms alike) from watching the ducks in the pond by Tiffany’s, to playing in the beautiful outdoor area located in the middle of the mall, to shopping of course! One of the best things we stumbled upon, was a FREE (yes, free) story-time and music class called Baby Bounce Basics that’s held every Friday at 12:30 pm at Bookmarks. Bookmarks is a small branch of the Dallas Public Library that is located on the first floor under the movie theatre and their Friday class features mommy-and-me (it can be daddy, too) interactive sing-along songs and nursery rhymes followed by a story read aloud by their personnel. This activity is a great way to interact with other kids and moms, and to wear your little one out!
We will be exploring new places and filling you in on all the details along the way over the next couple of weeks. We hope you will follow our journey via blog and via our instagram hashtag #ckandegtakedallas! If you have any suggestions of where we should visit, please let us know. We would love to hear from you!
As Andi and I are adjusting to being mommies of little walkers, we have been in a constant search for shoes that are supportive and yet still cool in the summer heat. Charlee Kate was the first one to try out Keen sandals and loved them. So, naturally, we had to try them, too. Charlee Kate and Emma Grace are now huge advoates of Keen shoes – they are very supportive, the soles are flexible and sturdy, the velcro stays clasped, and the models they are wearing have cutouts on the sides that keep their feet cool.
