Dream Wedding with lover.ly

w1

What girl hasn’t pictured her dream wedding? When Lover.ly – “the wedding planning binder in the cloud,” asked me to plan my dream wedding, I got giddy. Although I truly believe I have already had my dream wedding, I had so much fun dreaming up the perfect romantic wedding in a remote location. After all, our taste and style are constantly changing, so my dream wedding today looks a little different than what it would have looked like 3 years ago.

The first words that came to my mind when creating my dream wedding were romantic, simple, and intimate. For location, I instantly thought of a beautiful, quaint outdoor venue in France full of florals, fragrance, and charm. I chose the Chateau de St. Jean in France for its charm, its intimate feel, and the breathtaking scenery. w3

I envision (re)marrying my husband, Travis, in a small, intimate venue surrounded by our closest family and friends, fresh blooms, and history. The decor would be simple and elegant: silk, ivory ribbons, white candles, blush florals and the natural landscape. The evening would be filled with wine, dancing, and lots of laughter. The attention would not be solely on me, but rather on enjoying everyone’s company and celebrating life and love together.

I wanted my dream dress to directly reflect the mood of the location and the tone of the night. I chose a Monique Lhuillier silk gown with white Chantilly lace, a scoop neck to elongate my figure, a natural waistline and boned bodice. I love how the lace detail, the neckline, and the silk ribbon gives the dress a girly flair, while the way the dress falls gives off a simple vibe. I accessorized the dress with a simple evening clutch, simple heels, a barrette to add a girly touch to my hair, and a wrap with a hint of color to have for later in the evening as I always get cold.
