Happy Monday, loves. I hope you’re all having a good start to your week! Our Monday looks a lot like loads of laundry, picking up our puppy – Mia, and unpacking our bags from our beach trip this past week. We had the most amazing time just soaking up the sun, letting our girls play in the sand, and spending time with my husband’s family. I’ll be doing a review post on where we stayed in the next couple of weeks!
It’s kind of hard for me to believe that kids are already gearing up to go back to school and Fall is just around the corner…at least Fall clothing is. There are some of you that are lucky enough to start having cooler temps in the next couple of weeks and maybe even bust out a sweater. As for us Texans though, we’ll have “summer” temps well into October.
Because of our long summer weather but eagerness to wear Fall clothing, I’ve learned to adapt my style to pull in elements of both Summer and Fall. Today’s post reflects one of the easiest ways to add a touch of Fall to your summer dress: add booties!
I started doing this last Fall and it ended up saving me a lot of money as it gave me the opportunity to wear my sleeveless and short sleeve dresses a bit longer than normal. I opted for booties with a cut-out detail for today’s look as it seems a bit more suited for warm weather. The ones in today’s post are almost sold out, but I love these grey suede booties and these Vince Camuto booties would be great options, too!
