Do you like to travel? We sure do! This past weekend we spent the holiday in Chicago and Emma got to experience a lot of “firsts.” We started our trip by going to North Avenue Beach in Chicago. This was Emma’s first time to feel the sand, and much like her first reaction to grass, she was not too keen on touching it.
Knowing we would be visiting the beach (and lake) for the first time, we had fun picking out a nautical outfit that would keep us warm in the cooler Chicago weather. As always, we paired our outfit with one of Eola Ella’s precious headbands. I’m sure you can tell by now we are big fans!

Then, we ventured over to the Shedd Aquarium to spend the afternoon exploring the fish of all shapes, sizes, and colors! We even got to feel a stingray! Emma loved pointing at all the fish and was beyond happy when her Papa gave her a stuffed sea otter.

The rest of the weekend was spent on a small little lake in Wisconsin. Emma was quite unsure of her first boat ride, but quickly warmed up to it and ended up loving watching the waves and all the geese on the lake.
