Happy Monday, friends! I don’t know what it is about lace and leather, but they seems to be taking over my wardrobe lately. I love the femininity of lace and leather can make such a statement. I got this amazing leather jumper recently from Shopbop and it shouldn’t be a surprise that it sold out during the big Shopbop sale. BUT, I found it still in stock at Revolve – who!
I was first inspired to create a look by InStyle believe it or not. It seems like so much of what we do and where we get our inspiration these days is from the web. But, I’m an old soul at heart and still love flipping through a magazine. My latest InStyle magazine had a page with several different types of jumpers – denim, corduroy, etc.. I just loved how fun and playful it looked and couldn’t wait to recreate the look. Of course wanted to add my own little feminine touch to it, so I paired my leather jumper with a lace top.
Y’all know that I rarely invest in an outfit unless I think I’ll be able to wear it multiple ways, and luckily a jumper is super versatile. I think the most versatile jumper dress would be a denim one. If you’re wondering what else to pair under a jumper dress besides a blouse, the answer is anything. No, really. You can wear anything from an off the shoulder top to a turtle neck to a thin sweater to a chunky knit. As long as you have confidence, a jumper dress is an easy item to adapt to your personal style.
