Alright moms, this post is for you! I’m curious…what’s your carpool outfit of choice? Most days I’m tempted to drive my girls in my big comfy robe with my coffee mug in hand. But alas, I wouldn’t want to embarrass my girls. So in reality, I’m either in work clothes or my carpool outfit of choice – athleisure.
Dressing for carpool is a funny thing. You want to look put together enough that it looks like you know what’s going on. But, you don’t want to come dressed to the nines because that’s trying to hard. Even still, you don’t want to look like you just rolled out of bed either. You want to wear something that is kid-friendly, but still put together. Am I right?
Now in all seriousness, finding the “perfect” carpool outfit is a thing that doesn’t exist. We should each fully be ourselves and dress in something that makes us feel comfortable and uniquely us. But, if you are looking for a little inspiration for some trendy carpool outfits, I hope you can find that here today.

5 Carpool Outfits:
Joggers & a Bodysuit:
These Athleta joggers were my find of the week at Clotheshorse Anonymous. They retail for $108, but I got them for only $25! Joggers are a great option for carpool. For this easy carpool outfit I paired these joggers with a basic black bodysuit. What I love about this look is that I can be comfortable and ready to move around with my kids. Then, when it’s time to change for girls’ night, I simply lose the joggers and pair the same bodysuit with skinny jeans or a skirt. It’s effortless!
A Sweater & Jean Shorts:
Agolde shorts are my favorite jean shorts of any brand. They wear so well and get softer with every wear and wash. Clotheshorse Anonymous has had such a good collection of Agolde shorts lately, too! Pairing a basic tee or sweater with denim shorts is another easy, effortless carpool outfit. Add a fun scarf around your neck or a simple necklace – add your own personal touch!
Athletic Skort & Top:
If you have a feminine flare to your style, skorts are a great way to add a girly touch to your carpool outfit. Athleta has great skorts – both athletic and athleisure – and all you have to do is pair it with a simple tee or bodysuit.
Leggings & a Sweatshirt:
Can a carpool outfit get more basic than leggings and a sweatshirt? Probably not, but I’m here for it. It’s crazy comfortable and if you stick to neutral shades, it looks chic, too!
Leggings, a Basic Tee, & a Crossbody Bag:
For the days that we have activities after school, I like to be extra comfortable. So, opting for leggings and a basic tee is an option that never fails!
CHA Consignment Finds:
One of the things I’ve started doing is looking up the items I try on at CHA when I’m trying them on. What I’ve found is that about 50% of the time the items are still being sold in stores! In fact, this past trip I found that both the Athleta joggers I got and the Club Monaco tee are both still sold in stores. How awesome is that?
