Hola! I am officially on my way to Mexico to spend a week enjoying fruity drinks, the beautiful ocean, lots of family time, and some R&R. Today’s outfit post was 100% inspired by the ‘beach.’ I hope you’ve had the chance to take a vacation this summer, too, and escape the business of the day-to-day. 🙂

Stripes & graphic tees have been very much on trend lately and when I saw this madewell shirt on major sale, I couldn’t wait to wear it to the beach. The fun thing about a basic stripe shirt like this one is that you can style it all sorts of ways. Today, I styled it very casually with cut off shorts, the beach hat I will be wearing this week, and leopard sandals. About the sandals…if you were a child from the 80s, then you remember the birkenstock trend – whether those were fond memories or not I don’t know, haha. Anyway, when I saw these leopard birckenstock-like sandals, I took the plunge. Confession: although I did buy these for how comfortable they are, I partically purchased them knowing one of my girlfriends (cough, cough, Dodds) will get a huge kick out of them as she’s been begging me not to take the plunge on this trend. 😉
