Hi, babes and happy weekend! Trav and I are kidless this weekend so we’re filling our weekend with things that prove more challenging with kiddos. We kicked off the weekend with a triple date with some of our besties at Matchbox and plan on soaking up the rest of the weekend. It seems like finding time to get out on a date is proving harder and harder as our kids get older. Is that normal?
It’s so funny to think back before kids at how often we would go out to dinner. It felt like we tried literally every restaurant in Dallas. Now, we’re just excited to wake up and have a quiet environment to drink our coffee in. In fact, and I’m not lying here, we are debating using our “date” weekend to paint our kitchen cabinets. We kind of laughed when we were talking about it, but it really is much easier to do some things…even the boring things…without kids.
All this to say, when we do get out, it’s so fun to get dressed up, put on some heels and a little perfume. I love wearing dress in the summer – just got this one for date night, but there is something so easy about throwing a cute top on over jeans you already have on.
Chicwish is one of my favorite places to go to for well-made, on-trend tops and dresses. Their shipping does take a little longer than normal, but the quality is there and the price is good. This wrap top is such a fun, flirty top for summer. I love the flowy sleeves and it pairs perfectly with white denim!
