Happy hump day, loves! By the time this post hits your inbox I will have already been up for a couple of hours…bluh. Abby is having tubes put in and so Travis and I are taking her to the hospital at 5:45 am (EG is staying with her grandparents). I’m not going to lie, I am slightly nervous about it, but people keep telling me it’s a super quick procedure and will make a night and day difference in the way our little girl feels. Worth it.
Back to today’s #ootd though…
Believe it or not, the black version of this dress is actually what caught my eye, and once I saw that it came in white, I was sold. I haven’t done a lot of shopping on amazon for clothing, but have seen multiple women do it and couldn’t help but be intrigued. I mean, if you’re a prime member that means you get your items in 2 days. Side note: did you know shopbop utilizes amazon prime as well so you can get free 2 day shipping with their items as well? I’m kicking myself for just figuring this out!
What I love so much about this dress – besides the fact that it’s less than $30, is, well, everything. I love the way the dress billows in the wind. I love the form-fitted bodice that gives some figure to your silhouette. I love the checked pattern that makes me think of summer picnics. And, I love that you can accessorize this dress in so many ways: with a thin belt as pictures, without a belt, with a tan leather jacket, or even a nude suede vest. Basically, it’s just one of those dresses that you want to wear every day.
But what do you wear it to? If I was a bride-to-be, I’d wear it to a bridal shower. However, I’m not a bride-to-be anymore, so I’d wear this dress with black heels to a gala, with flat sandals to a happy hour with girl friends, to a networking event, on a dinner date with the hubs, or even to a baby shower. The light, airy fabric makes it super easy to dress down and make it more casual. Where would you wear this dress?
sizing: do pay close attention to your measurements as some of the comments/reviews state that the sizing is odd; for me however, I’m wearing my normal size (small) and it fit me just right without having to do any alterations
